Local History: Markham, Ontario

Genealogy is becoming North America’s favourite hobby. To know who you are you must first know where you came from. Start with a name – a first, last, nickname, or even a guess will help. Record who you know, then research to find long lost ancestors. Who will you discover? Once you have found a branch in your family history, it is often more exciting to research the time period and place that they lived in – this is where local history research comes in.
