Books used for Baby Storytime (Birth-18 months) that develop Print Motivation or, simply, the love of books and reading. This skill is crucial to reading success later in life because if children see reading as a positive experience, they will be more motivated to learn to read themselves. These are books that engage babies and caregivers in different ways and also books that are particularly appropriate for infants. Generally speaking: books about baby's day, books featuring real photographs rather than illustration and black and white books are all appropriate for infants.
