Jurassic world. Fallen kingdom

Format:

This movie is a fun look at the end of the dinosaurs as we saw them in the other Jurassic Park movies.

Dreamers
Morales, Yuyi, author.
Format:

Inspired by the author/illustrator's own immigration story, this picture book is about a mother and child who come to the United States from Mexico and find a wonderful haven for their dreams on the shelves of the public library. The illustrations are colorful and richly detailed, and the story is one that's so personal and yet so universal that it begs to be shared with families from every sort of background.

The dark is rising
Cooper, Susan.
Format:

A personal favorite from childhood, The Dark is Rising is a fun and engaging tale of magic, mythology, and a harrowing battle between good and evil. It was first published in the 1970s, but continues to feel relevant and contemporary (save the technology of the day). This is technically the second book of a series (The Dark is Rising sequence), but you can read the first and second books in either order.

The four agreements : a practical guide to personal freedom
Ruiz, Miguel, 1952-
Format:

A Toltec philosopher describes in very simple and practical terms how to gain personal freedom.

The woman in white
Collins, Wilkie, 1824-1889.
Format:

There is a new PBS adaptation of this classic, and I first read it decades ago. The Woman In White is a gripping, hard-to-put-down example of early Victorian "sensation fiction" and often credited as one of the first mysteries. It's also noteworthy for introducing the use of different points of view to tell the story. Highly recommend especially at this spooky time of year!
