The hunger games

Format:

Living in a world with the capitol and twelve other districts, the Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Katniss Everdeen, steps up and volunteers to go in place of her sister and comes across some mutuals. Will Katniss make it or sacrifice it for love?

Twilight

Format:

About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him—and I didn't know how dominant that part might be—that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him. Very eventful and suspenseful, Twilight is a love story with a bit of a bite.

The lightning thief
Rick Riordan.
Format:

Percy Jackson is a good kid, but is struggling and coming to the realization that his pre-algebra teacher turned into a monster and tried to kill him. When Percy's mom finds out, she knows it's time that he knew the truth about where he came from. She sends him to Percy to Camp Half Blood, where he learns about his father Poseidon, God of the Sea and ends up trying to stop a war from occuring between the gods.

Divergent
Veronica Roth.
Format:

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). Beatrice along with many others, must choose one to focus on. However, she can't choose between worrying about her family and being who she truly is. Changing her total identity to Tris, conflicts start to erupt.
