Baby and Toddler Storytime Week 3: Phonological Awareness / I Hear Words!

Books used for Baby and Toddler Storytime that emphasize phonological awareness, or the ability to hear the smaller sounds in words (phonemes and syllables) and which words rhyme. (Remember: I hear words!) This skill will be essential to success in reading later in life. Songs, nursery rhymes and rhyming books all support this skill. Books featuring animal noises and onomatopoeia are good for this skill as well.
