Baby/Toddler Storytime: I <3 to SING!

Singing helps children hear the smaller sounds in words. This will help them when they begin to learn to read. Knowing which words rhyme will help children when they learn how to read. Singing slows down your speech so children can hear different parts of words. If a child knows 8 rhymes by the time they’re 3, by the time they’re 8 and in grade 3 they should have no problems reading.
