Lanny Budd by Upton Sinclair

Between 1940 and 1953, Sinclair wrote a series of 11 novels featuring a sophisticated socialite who mingled easily with people from all cultures and socioeconomic classes. Many of his contacts became the leading political figures involving World War II, including Roosevelt, Stalin, Churchill, Hitler, and Mussolini.
